Atlanta Oppos have noticed some Stranger Things filiming, but apparently they’ve converted parts of Gwinnett Place Mall in Atlanta into a set for the third season of Stranger Things. In any case, they just put out a promo and it looks amazing:
Check out the parking lot at 0:12:

Wow how did I miss

Chrysler LeBaron or Dodge 600 convertible - I’m going with LeBaron due to hood ornament and extra chrome, but the side markers are a dead giveaway

Oh I didn’t see the hood ornament at all. I had to look really closely at my phone after you said that.

There are malls that are abandoned or almost abandoned that look like time capsules across America.
I wonder why they didn’t get in touch with the dead mall guy....

I know they film in Atlanta - Dan Bell is
in DC, so they probably just scouted around some of the B-malls in Atlanta. Gwinnett was built mid-80s, so the aesthetic is bang on for a new mall in 1985, and it’s all but abandoned anyways, save for a couple of anchors, so it’s perfect for a set.

Oh, I didn’t know that.
That’s pretty cool :)
